March 22, 2016 When you first created your NCAA bracket, you probably considered fan favorites, team rankings, player stats ect. More than likely, you placed the teams with the top athletes, records, and rankings to go all the way. Underestimating the lower ranked teams; teams with the so-called average players. Thank goodness Jesus doesn’t deal with us based on status. His disciples were average Joes. He reminds us that we don’t have to be well put together or a #1 pick to the majority to be on his team. Our worth is not based on others opinions nor do we have to do anything spectacular to stand out. You don’t have to dread the team caption pick, standing their waiting to hear your name, eagerly shouting inside “pick me, pick me” He sees your potential despite your faults and turnovers in life. He wants to prepare you for your opponent and has the best playbook (The Word). He is capable of whipping you in shape and getting you game ready. Nothing is impossible with the Lord; he will put you in a position that will shock your opponent. That underdog upset. Some of these brackets are all jacked up by those upsets! So remember it is not about ranking, as team Jesus has prepared a place for you! 🏆
SN: In those moments we feel off our game that playbook always comes in handy. 🙌 |
